Queen’s College is a co-educational boarding school in England. Located on a picturesque campus in the rural town of Taunton in Somerset, this leading private school provides a sterling education from Nursery through to Sixth Form.

Queen’s College has an excellent position in league tables for its academic results, and the school prizes academic achievement.
In 2012, 79% achieved A* A and B with an impressive 18% awarded the top A* grade. 52% were awarded A* and A grades and 92% had A* -C.

However, what makes the education at Queen’s unique is the friendly atmosphere, small class sizes and superb personal support that pupils enjoy.

Investment in new facilities, including a new languages department means pupils have first-class surroundings to make the most of their education.

A brand-new Sixth Form Centre helps pupils with the transition to university by encouraging independent study, while university and careers coaching is available to all senior pupils.

Outside the classroom, pupils have an almost endless range of opportunities for sport and creative arts.

One of the few schools to offer performing arts scholarships, Queen’s College is an excellent choice if you are looking for a specialist music, dance or drama school.

Major productions take place every term, while pupils can take advantage of individual LAMDA and instrumental classes. Additionally, eight different styles of dance are offered as well as a range of musical ensembles that includes orchestras, choirs and a swing band.

Pupils from the school also enjoy national success in hockey, swimming, cross country, athletics, biathlon, tetrathlon and riding.

All young people are encouraged to take part in team sports and have the full support of a team of talented coaches.

Outdoor pursuits on offer include kayaking, diving, mountain biking, climbing and riding, while the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme is open to all.

Three single sex boarding houses accommodate senior pupils at Queen’s College. Modern and well-appointed, each boarding house has a family atmosphere and the welfare of each pupil is closely supervised by Houseparents and tutors.
